In the late 90’s we decided to purchase a second foundry to help us expand and allow our Madison division to have increased capacity and flexibility with our current Auto lines. Phelps Cast was hence started and added a third Automatic Molding Line to Berntsen as well as added workforce.
Our Phelps plant is run by veteran foundry men and women who know the science of building complex cores and tooling. The castings poured require a delicate practice and care and is drawn out through all phases of the casting process. Once castings are hardened, they are inspected, and then shipped to our Madison plant for final cleaning and machining (if required).
